Workshop on Vietnam-Korea Global Collaboration in Electrical Engineering
Overview
International collaboration is a key driver of advances in electrical engineering research and education in a globalized research environment. This workshop focuses on Vietnam–Korea international collaboration, highlighting research outcomes at KAIST Electrical Engineering (KAIST EE) and leading universities in Vietnam.
The goal of this workshop is to provide a platform for sharing ongoing and completed research, fostering academic exchange, and strengthening long-term collaboration between Korea and Vietnam. By bringing together students and researchers from diverse backgrounds, the workshop aims to showcase emerging research ideas, promote early international research exposure, and build sustainable partnerships in electrical engineering.
Special Feature: Global EPSS Program
We are pleased to highlight the Global Educational Program for Samsung Semiconductor (Global EPSS), a joint initiative by KAIST EE and Samsung Electronics. We strongly encourage submissions from students and researchers who are interested in this unique program. Global EPSS offers a fully funded academic-to-career pathway, enabling outstanding graduate students from emerging countries, particularly Vietnam, to pursue advanced degrees (M.S./Ph.D.) at KAIST and secure guaranteed employment at Samsung Electronics upon graduation.
- Degree Tracks: M.S. Degree (2 years) or Ph.D. Degree (4 years).
- Eligibility: Academically excellent students from top universities in emerging countries (Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand).
- Scholarship & Student Benefits:
- Full Financial Support: Full KAIST Tuition Coverage
- Monthly Stipends
- One-time Ph.D. Scholarship Incentive of KRW 3,000,000.
- Career & Internship: Samsung Electronics Internship during the program and Guaranteed Employment at Samsung Electronics upon graduation. Mandatory employment with a minimum period that corresponds to twice the total years supported by Samsung is required.
- Language & Test Fee Support: Special preparatory lectures for TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) along with exam fee coverage, and one-time support for TOEFL or IELTS exam fees.
- Settlement & Campus Life: Comprehensive living and relocation assistance provided by the EEIO (Electrical Engineering International Office) at KAIST.
- Ambassador Program: One-time fully supported travel to visit your home university in Vietnam as a G-EPSS Ambassador.
